We know that as a licensed professional, it can be hard for you to keep up with the dynamic laws and regulations of your board or agency.
So, we decided to answer your frequently asked questions to hopefully make your professional life a bit easier.
I get questions from licensed professionals in the state of North Carolina, asking me if their specific board or agency requires compliance cooperation with them during the course of the investigation.
It really depends on the administrative code for that particular board or state agency.
So the one we’re gonna talk about today is the licensing board for architects and interior designers in the state of North Carolina.
1. Do Licensed Architects or Interior Designers Need to Comply with a Board Inquiry?
The answer to that question is yes. Any inquiry that the board for architects and interior designers makes has to be complied with by the licensed architect or licensed interior design professional. 21 NCAC 02 .0203 (10)(c) is the administrative code that states this requirement.
2. What are the Cooperation Requirements of NC Architecture and Interior Design Board Inquiries?
The North Carolina Architecture and Interior Design Board doesn’t really go into a lot of detail about specifically what those inquiries may be. It just says any inquiries.
So, it’s pretty broad, which is part of the course of a lot of the statutes that are a mystery, unfortunately.
